The Browns are headed to London to play the Vikings this Sunday. Kenny Britt, a receiver for the Browns, played in London with the Rams last year. He didn’t particularly enjoy it.

“I hated London, hated it,” Britt said via ESPN’s Pat McManamon. “I hated it with a passion.”

The Rams lost 17-10 against the Giants in Twickenham last season. It was the Rams’ third ugly loss in a row and dropped them to 3-4 after a promising start. Case Keenum — who is likely to start against the Browns for the Vikings with Sam Bradford still sidelined with a knee injury — threw four picks. Keenum may not be all that excited to relive that experience, either.

But the outcome of the game is not why Britt hated London.

“I hated everything about it,” Britt said. “I hated the flight. I hated us being there so long. I hated the flight back. I hated the food.”

To be fair to London, which is a lovely city that has embraced the NFL wholeheartedly, Britt apparently just isn’t a huge fan of international travel.

“Will I get out?” Britt said. “No, I won’t get out. When I leave the country I don’t leave the resort anyway. Last time my wife and daughter actually took a trip to Paris. Had a worse time there. It’s a long story, but it was all bad.”

DeShone Kizer isn’t worried about seeing the sights. Kizer won the starting job back for Week 8 after being benched multiple times for costly turnovers. He’s just focused on holding on to the starting job.

“I’ll be figuring out how to try to win a game,” he told McManamon. “I hear we’re staying 40 minutes or so from the actual city, too.”

Britt has struggled this season, too. He has just 10 catches for 128 yards and one touchdown. Complaints about the flight length and the time players spend away from home for London games are valid, but maybe Britt should follow Kizer’s lead and focus on his performance, not where he’s playing.
